Five-member delegation led by the Chairperson and the Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission is currently attending the 9th Session of Conference of the States Parties (CoSP) to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) virtually. The Conference is being held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, which commenced from 13 December 2021 and ends this Friday.
The Conference is deliberating on varied subjects such as technical assistance, prevention, asset recovery and international cooperation besides topical issues like beneficial ownership and follow-up to the special session of the General Assembly on the challenges and measures to prevent and combat corruption, and strengthen international cooperation.
The Conference is held every two years to promote and review the implementation of the UNCAC and improve the cooperation between the States Parties to achieve the Conventionβs objectives.
