In accordance with Section 38 (1) of the Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan (ACAB) 2011 and the Asset Declaration (AD) Rules 2022, the Anti-Corruption Commission hereby notifies all covered persons to file your Annual Asset Declaration for the Income Year 2023 within the period, from 1 March to 31 May 2024. The declaration period for the income year 2023 has been extended given the extension of the deadline for filing Personal Income Tax. Kindly note that AD filed in June will be considered as late declaration, while from 1 July onwards, AD filings will fall under non-declaration category.
It is the responsibility of every covered person to file his/her AD within the declaration period, with failure inviting penalties as per section 38 (4) &(5) of the ACAB 2011 and Sections 53 and 54 of the AD Rules 2022. To confirm whether you are a covered person, kindly refer Annexure I & II of the AD Rules 2022 available at www.acc.org.bt
