Upon the coordination of Department of Local Government, the Anti-Corruption Commission led by the Chairperson and Commissioners virtually interacted with the newly elected Gups on the theme “Building Transparent, Accountable and Efficient Local Government” on 1 February, 2022.
The session attended by 55 participants included an introduction to the ‘Role of Local Government in Enhancing Good Governance Principles’, ‘Ethics and Integrity concerns in LGs based on ACC’s Database and Experience’ and ‘Corruption Risk Management’ followed by a comprehensive question and answer session.
Considering the quintessential role of Local Government, the session revitalized the zest and vigor to uphold accountability by recollecting His Majesty’s Address on the 114th National Day.
