Integrity Vetting for Professions Prone to Corruption Risk

To strengthen integrity and accountability through a whole of systems approach and in line with the Rules for Integrity Vetting 2024, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will be expanding the scope of enforcement of Integrity Vetting Reports (IVR) to cover all professions prone to Corruption Risk with effect from 1 July 2026.

This requirement has been notified ot all the budgetary agencies, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and civil society organizations vide Notification No. ACC/DoPS/CFD/01/01438 dated 8 June 2026.

The AC has adopted a phased approach since the introduction of integrity vetting on 30 December 2022, with IVR being mandatory until now for recruitment, promotion, and appointment of public officials, including those at P1 or its equivalent and above; nominations to Boards of Directors; election to Parliament or Local Government; and procurement of open tendering works and consultancy services.

In view of the significance and the state of readiness, the ACC finds it both appropriate and necessary to expand the scope of IVR by making it a mandatory requirement for those professions prone to corruption risk, as outlined in the Implementation Note/Operational Brief circulated along with the notification.
