The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Audit & Corruption Investigation Bureau (ACIB) of Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) yesterday, formalising a partnership to strengthen integrity systems, combat corruption, and promote accountable governance within GMC and across Bhutan.

The MOU establishes a framework for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including institutional and technical support, capacity building, information sharing, and collaboration in addressing both existing and emerging corruption and integrity risks. While working closely together, both institutions will continue to exercise their respective mandates independently, guided by shared values of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to promoting transparent, ethical, and resilient governance in contributing to the Royal Vision for GMC and Bhutan. It also recognises that strong integrity institutions are essential to fostering public confidence, strengthening governance systems, and creating an environment conducive to sustainable growth and responsible investment.
