A three-member delegation from the Anti-Corruption Commission, led by Commissioner Jamtsho, is attending the 16th Implementation Review Group (IRG) Meeting in Vienna, Austria. The meeting, hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the Secretariat to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), is taking place from 17–21 February 2025.
The discussions at the session focused on the second phase of the review mechanism, covering key areas such as the scope of the next review phase of UNCAC, technical assistance, and thematic sequencing of the review process, among others. A significant outcome of the session was the adoption of the Executive Summary of Bhutan’s Country Review Report, marking an important milestone in Bhutan’s commitment to strengthening anti-corruption efforts.
The conference serves as a vital platform for reviewing UNCAC implementation and fostering stronger international cooperation among States Parties to achieve its objectives.
