A four-member delegation led by Commissioner A Karma Rinzin attended the 15th Session of the Implementation Review Group, 13th Open-ended Intergovernmental expert meeting to enhance international cooperation and 18th meeting of the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Asset Recovery under the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) at Vienna, Austria.
The event brought together representatives from the States Parties and international experts to discuss on issues observed and opportunities realized vis-à-vis the first phase of the review mechanism, and deliberated on the scope and thematic sequence to ensure that the next review phase is more robust and practical.
Further, the States Parties shared the lessons learnt, challenges and, the good practices vis-à-vis the implementation of UNCAC especially in the area of international cooperation and asset recovery.
The event which commenced on 10 June concluded on 14 June 2024.
