Consultative Workshop on Guidelines for Integrity Club

The Anti-Corruption Commission conducted a three-day Consultative Workshop on Guidelines for Integrity Club at Dewaling Hotel, Gelephu from 21 – 23 December, 2017. The second round of consultation workshop was attended by the Focal Person from Ministry of Education, 5 District Education Officers of Chhukha, Lhuentse, Tsirang, Wangdiphodrang and Zhemgang Dzongkhags along with the Principals and the Club Coordinators from Chhukha Central School, Lhuentse Higher Secondary School, Phobjikha Central School, Tsirangtoe Central School, Tsenkharla Central School and Zhemgang Central School. The consultation workshop was organized with an objective to build the capacity of club coordinators and develop the action plan to carry out the clubs activities in schools.

During the workshop the participants were familiarized on the Guidelines and emphasized on 9 values of Integrity Club. The Hon’ble Commissioner Karma D. Nidup reminded the participants on their important roles in reviving the moral values and collective efforts required to work in partnership with other clubs in schools for its Β successful implementation. Through such initiative it is expected to bring behavior change in student and ensure Integrity, Transparency and Accountability in schools.
The Integrity Club has been piloted in four schools since February 2017 and with this consultation workshop additional six schools have been selected to pilot in their respective schools. This piloting of the club in 10 schools is expected to inculcate and advocate integrity and good governance which will be gradually replicated to other schools in consultation with the Ministry of Education.
