The Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC) in collaboration with the Bhutan Transparency Initiative(BTI) conducted a one-day awareness workshop focusing on the status of corruption in the country to the parliament on 28 February 2024. A total of seventy-seven attendees, comprising the members of the Parliament of Bhutan (National Assembly and National Council), representatives from the Bhutan National Legal Institute(BNLI), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and various media houses attended the workshop.
During the workshop, the ACC presented the comprehensive findings on the National Integrity Assessment 2022, and corruption offenses.The workshop also featured crucial presentations on the Corruption Barometer Survey 2023 and Whistleblower and Witness Protection by the BTI and BNLI respectively.
As Bhutan strives to build a future free from corruption, this workshop stands as a bedrock of solidarity and commitment of the leaders and advocates in fostering positive change.
