ACC signs MoU with BIG of Switzerland

The Anti-Corruption Commission signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Basel Institute on Governance (BIG) on 24thΒ May, 2017 at Basel, Switzerland.
The ACC and BIG have long-standing working relationship covering a range of joint endeavors on preventive and capacity building programs. The MoU was signed to build long term cooperation to work on areas of mutual interest and continue to draw from pool of expertise and experience of BIG.

BIG is an independent and non-profit think tank conducting research and offering policy advice and capacity building support in the fields of public and private sector governance, anti-corruption, asset recovery, anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing.

The MoU signing at Basel was joined by Ms. Tshering Lhadn, Minister Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Bhutan at Geneva.

Further, to maximize from the visit to Europe, the team of four lead by the Chairperson visited the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to express gratitude for the support rendered to the ACC since its inception.

The team will also be visiting the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption in Austria from 26-29 May, 2017.
