Following the appointment of the Chief Advisor and Advisors to the Interim Government on 1 November 2023, the tenure of the Interim Government successfully concluded on 28 January 2024.
His Majesty The King, in accordance with the Constitution, appointed the Interim Government for a period not exceeding 90 days, enabling the Election Commission to hold free and fair elections.
During this period, the Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) assumed the role of an Advisor to the Ministry of Finance (MoF). In this capacity, the Chairperson not only provided essential guidance for the routine functions of the MoF but also fostered enhanced collaboration between the MoF and ACC, transcending Interim Government’s duration. With the appointment of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Hon’ble Speaker of the National Assembly, and Hon’ble Cabinet Ministers on 28 January 2024, the ACC extends its heartfelt congratulations and anticipates to forge robust partnerships with the new Government in advancing the anti-corruption principles as an integral components of sustainable development endeavors.
