The Anti-Corruption Commission of Bhutan signed an MoU with the Anti-Corruption Commission of Bangladesh on 14 June 2017 at Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The MoU was signed to strengthen, promote and enhance cooperation between the two agencies on the basis of equality and mutual benefits, and also to develop and enhance the institutional capacity to prevent and combat corruption in the region.
His Excellency Mr. Sonam Tobden Rabgye, Ambassador of Bhutan to Bangladesh accompanied by first secretary from the Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Bangladesh joined the signing ceremony.
During the signing ceremony both the agencies made presentations on respective mandates, corruption situation, and challenges and opportunities for the fight against corruption.
Chairperson of ACC Bhutan accompanied by four officials is in Dhaka from 13 to 16 June 2017. Besides the signing of MoU, the team also visited Integrity Store at Sonargaon GR Institution and Integrity Units of Savar. During the visit the team interacted with Corruption Prevention Committees to learn their best practices.
