Healthy Body, Healthy Mind: A Resounding Success in the Pursuit of Integrity and Well-being

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in collaboration with the Royal Civil Service Commission successfully hosted a marathon on 15 February 2025 as a prelude to the 2nd National Anti-Corruption Day observed on 21st February in honor of His Majesty The King’s birth anniversary.

The event was held in Thimphu and at the ACC’s regional offices in Phuentsholing, Trashigang, and Bumthang, attracting a total of 529 participants. Themed “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind,” the marathon underscored the intrinsic connection between physical well-being, mental clarity, and ethical decision-making. A sound mind in a healthy body nurtures discipline, self-awareness, and a strong moral foundation- qualities that are indispensable in fostering a society rooted in integrity and accountability.

More than just a race, this marathon symbolized our collective commitment to ethical leadership, good governance, and a corruption-free society. It served as an inspiring reminder that integrity is not merely an ideal but a way of life that we must all strive to uphold. As we reflect on the success of this event, let us continue to walk and run together on the path of honesty, transparency, and accountability. May this initiative strengthen our resolve to build a just and ethical society for generations to come.
