Gewog Advocacy Program: Building an awakened citizenry by creating increased public awareness on corruption

The ACC team led by the Director, Department of Professional Support Service (DoPS) is currently in Samtse Dzongkhag for the second round of Gewog Advocacy Program. The team has so far covered four gewogs in the Dzongkhag: Samtse, Norbugang, Ugyentse and Yoeseltse. An interactive session with the staff of Samtse Higher Secondary School has also been conducted.
The advocacy program is primarily aimed at improving the quality of complaints lodged to ACC. It is also to build an informed citizenry and garner their support in the fight against corruption. Further it is expected to help empower the citizens to demand greater transparency and accountability in the delivery of public services.

The advocacy program commenced from 20th November, 2016 and will end on 6th December, 2016. ACC will be carrying out similar advocacy programs in all the 205 gewogs.
