Fostering the momentum of mainstreaming anti-corruption agenda in the 12th FYP

The Anti-Corruption Commission is conducting a one day sensitization session to all the heads of various agencies including human resource and planning officers to facilitate integration of anti-corruption agenda in the 12th Five Year Plan (FYP) by sensitizing on National Key Result Area (NKRA) โ€œCorruption Reducedโ€ and the adopted Agency Key Result Areas (AKRAs) and its corresponding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The session which commenced from 21 August 2017 is being organized at two levels: 1) at Namgay Heritage, Thimphu led by the Chairperson, for the judiciary, constitutional offices, ministries, autonomous agencies, armed forces, corporations, financial institutions, civil society & media organizations and 2) in four regions (Thimphu, Bumthang, Tashigang & Phuntsholing) led by the Commissioner Jamtsho, for dzongkhag and thromde offices.ย 

A total of about 450 officials, consisting of Honโ€™ble Secretaries, Director Generals, Directors, Dzongdas, Thrompons, Justices/Judges, Armed Officials, Chief Executive Officers, Executive Directors, Dzongrabs, Chiefs, Planning & Human Resource Officers and Media Personnel, are expected to be sensitized.

Since the leaders, managers and integrity advocates play important role in sustaining the culture of anti-corruption and integrity promotion in an organization, the session is expected to create common understanding in operationalizing the indicators identified for the 12th NKRA and its corresponding AKRA in respective plans and programs. ACC along with core group members from 15 different agencies developed and finalized three AKRA and 24 KPIs for the 12th NKRA.

Sensitization with Constitutional Officers & Law enforcement agencies

Through thisSensitization with Constitutional Officers & Law enforcement agenciesย session, ACC is facilitating the agencies to align these programs and activities with the revised National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy for effective monitoring and evaluation for long term impacts. The session touches on some of the key anti-corruption and integrity promotion tools (like Conflict of Interest, Gift & Asset Declaration and Management) and its developments.
The indicators on reducing corruption being made mandatory for all agencies, ACC deems it necessary to facilitate agencies in understanding the fundamental values and principles on anti-corruption and integrity promotion.program will end on 28 August 2017.
