Section 38 (5) of the Anti-Corruption Act of Bhutan (ACAB) 2011 states “Where public servants or other individuals using public resources who is required by this Act to file their declaration, without reasonable justifications, fail to do so after one month of expiry of due date shall be considered as non filing and shall be levied a fine equivalent to one year’s minimum wage.”
In exercising this provision, the covered persons who failed to file their Asset Declaration for 2017 were notified vide letter No. ACC/ DoPE-PD/02/1398 & 1399 dated 12th October 2018 to pay the penalty within 15th November 2018. Refer the attached below for more details.
