Promoting ethics, integrity and professionalism in the public and private sector is an underpinning factor in mainstreaming anti-corruption measures. To this effort, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a half day session with the officials from the Construction Development Board (CDB) on 4 March 2016 on “ethics and integrity management”. A total of 15 officials led by the Officiating Director General of CDB attended the session.
The session highlighted the basics of ethics and integrity management in the agency and public sector in general. The participants were also familiarized on the mechanisms available to enhance the culture of integrity in an organization and dealing with ethical dilemmas through various case studies.
Recognizing the emerging challenges of corruption in the procurement and construction sector, internationally and nationally, the CDB has a crucial role in promoting clean and honest construction industry in the country. Given that mandate, such session expects to facilitate the CDB in mainstreaming integrity measures in their internal governance system.
