The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is currently carrying out a nation-wide thematic training to Local Government (LG) functionaries on the theme ‘Strengthening Local Governance through Ethics, Integrity and Professionalism’.
Thematic training session is a target-specific training tailored towards addressing vulnerability-based corruption risks within specific professional domains. These domains are identified based on the trends of corruption complaints and findings emanating from the investigation or observational studies conducted, aiming to advocate about the specific corruption risks inherent in the respective professional domain.
Three teams with the officials from the Department of Prevention & Education and Regional Offices of the ACC are currently in the field to conduct thematic training sessions in the Western, Central, and Eastern regions. Till date, the training sessions have been successfully conducted in seven Dzongkhags: Thimphu, Bumthang, Trongsa, Lhuntse, Zhemgang, Mongar and Samdrup Jongkhar, and two Thromdes: Gelephu and Thimphu Thromde.
