On 3 May 2024, the Hon’ble Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Commission interacted with 73 newly elected Gups from 13 central and western Dzongkhags during the ongoing three-week professional development program coordinated by the Royal Institute of Management in collaboration with the Department of Local Governance & Disaster Management.
The interactive session themed “Enhancing Transparency and Accountability in the Local Governance” highlighted on topics such as Asset Declaration, Conflict of Interest, and Ethics & Integrity. This was followed with an in-depth discussions and exchange of best practices, reinforcing the Local Government Leaders’ abilities and skills to effectively uphold transparency and accountability in their respective roles.
