Towards building a cutting-edge investigative capacity to combat emerging financial crimes, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) organized a comprehensive five-day training on ‘Virtual Asset Investigation from 25-29 May 2026 at the Professional Development Centre, Tsirang.

Facilitated by the Rashtriya Raksha University, Gujarat, India, 23 officials from the ACC attended the training. The training explored the core concepts of virtual assetsblockchain technology, and global regulatory frameworks, including FATF Recommendations and AML/CFT obligations. With Bhutan’s growing exposure to cross-border crypto transactions, the training is expected to ensure that the investigators remain conversant with these threats.
