Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of an Information & Media Officer (IMO) encompass a wide range of tasks. These include formulating and executing the Policy on the ACCβs Media and Communication, serving as the official point of contact for media-related matters, overseeing the creation and distribution of press releases, statements, and other media materials, handling media inquiries and arranging interviews or press conferences as necessary. The IMO also maintains strong connections with national journalists and media contacts, monitoring and reporting on media coverage of the ACC, organizing promotional events, managing the ACC’s website content, and administering its social media accounts to ensure active and engaging channels. Additionally, the IMO keeps detailed records of all work performed and is expected to carry out any additional assignments delegated by the Commission.
