The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a training on Evidence Law and Evidence Vetting, as well as on the elementisation of corruption offences and evidence mapping against each legal element. The training, which was designed and delivered by in-house experts, was attended by 35 ACC officials from the Head Office and three Regional Offices.
The training is designed to equip participants with a strong understanding of the fundamental principles governing evidence and to enhance their ability to assess evidence critically in order to evaluate case strength, identify evidentiary gaps, and make sound legal decisions. The training also aims to deepen understanding of the essential elements of corruption and related offences by enabling investigators to break down offences into their constituent elements and systematically link appropriate forms of evidence to each element.
The three-day training programme, conducted with financial support from the Government of India under Project Tied Assistance, concludes today.
