A three-member delegation led by the Chairperson of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Bhutan is attending the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) from 15 – 19 December 2025 in Doha, Qatar.
Addressing the Conference, the Hon’ble Chairperson highlighted the exemplary leadership of His Majesty The King, the strong political will of the successive governments, and robust anti-corruption mainstreaming measures as underlying reasons for Bhutan’s progress in combating corruption.
Besides sharing ongoing initiatives vis-a-vis the implementation of UNCAC, the Chairperson emphasized urgency in strengthening international cooperation, particularly in enhancing access to technology, capacity building, and global platforms by the small and developing countries to promote shared learning and coordinated actions.
The Conference, which concludes on Friday, will deliberate on the work of its subsidiary bodies in the period 2024-2025 and adopt key resolutions on anti-corruption. The Conference has convened more than 2500 participants, constituting global anti-corruption leaders, policymakers, and experts.
