Efforts towards greater professionalism: Skills development
Fourteen investigators are undergoing 3 weeks intensive investigative course in Malaysia. The course is especially designed for the ACC by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA).
Following the course, a 4 member team will visit the Police Integrity Commission (PIC) and the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in Sydney, New South Wales. This is a follow up of the Commission’s visit to the agencies last month. The team will meet surveillance and intelligence experts of the agencies.
INVESTIGATION SEMINAR
On the invitation of the ACC, Mr. Michael Doughlas Symons - the Executive Director (Investigations) of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), New South Wales, Australia conducted a three day seminar on investigation techniques from 3 to 6 January, 2011. The participants of the training included officers of the Royal Bhutan Police and Investigation Division of the ACC for the first two days.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) presents its findings on procurement irregularities in the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Saturday, 11 December 2010:The Commission formally presented to the MoH its findings on numerous systemic irregularities in the procurement of medical equipment administered by the Drugs, Vaccine & Equipment Division (DVED). The presentation was chaired by the Hon’ble Minister of Health, Lyonpo Zanglay Dukpa. The dais was shared by Dasho Neten Zangmo, the Chairperson of ACC and Auditor General Mr. Ugyen Chewang.
